"Dragon walk"

This is his "Dragon Walk" lol :lol: He loves it! In the near future we plan to build him one that will go all the way around his tank! Its very simple to make, take some wood cut it to the dimensions you want, take some carpet measure it to fit around the wood and nail it in. Very quick and very easy and your dragon will love it!

He is sleeping =)

Its on the far left and he has a Little bridge on the right =)!!!

Well I wouldn't consider it braiding just tightly wrapped, perhaps a light brushing of glue on the wood before wrapping it with the twine or yarn so the string doesn't slide on the wood. I just thought it might be cheaper then carpet, not to mention easier to put together then wrapping small pieces of wood with carpet.

Ah I see thats a cool Idea I'll have to try it out on another piece, lol it was a PAIN to nail the carpet onto the wood but i was skid-dish of using glue because its right at the light so that would be easier. The carpet on the other hand was really cheap here is a link and its 12ft X 1ft for like 6.00$ so we used the extra to line the bottom of the tank.

Got any other Ideas to better it? I think we are going to make an actual ledge that goes all the way around the top of the tank with one tilted (like the orig) to act as a ramp for him to get on top. so it will be like an actual cat walk or in this case a dragon walk. :lol:

I am thinking of putting a ledge going around the cage and having ramps going up to it. That would be so cool. Isnt it hard to clean the carpet when they go to the bathroom on it?

Sure, but the type of carpet he used would not only be easy to install to whatever you use for the actually ramp, but it will also be easier to clean. Carpet with more shag will be more difficult. Just keep in mind that your beardie might poo on it, and because of that you'll want something that is easy to squirt off.

I used indoor/outdoor carpeting for mine. I raided the samples at Menards LOL, so it was free. Dudley is scared to go on it though, so far.
