does a male or female beardie make a better pet?

ok so i am going to get an adult/sub adult beardie but i was wondering if there are any differences between males and females that make one or the other a better pet?

No.
How a dragon acts is based on that dragon, not its gender.

However If you are talking from a taking-care-of standpoint, than I would go with a male. And the only reason I say this is so you don't have to worry about the female laying eggs (which they can do even if they aren't fertilized). But even that is not a big deal, so just get whichever dragon grabs your attention. When the time comes, you will know which dragon you want, no matter its gender.

This is so true! When we met with our breeder to try to pick out a beardie, my wife pointed at the tank, and one beardie just leapt at the glass like he was dying to come out and hang out with us, just feverishly scratching at the glass. We knew right away that was our little guy. The guy pulled him out of the tank and put him on my hand and he just chilled there like we had had him forever. Instantly creating a bond.
