I want to make backgrounds for my beardie an leo with Styrofoam. After I get it cut out what it the next step? What glue/grout/paint is safe? I don't want to harm my babies!!

I was in lowes the other night and started gathering supplies and realized this was going to be WAY to much stuff plus after reading on the problems everyone was having with their sealant getting worn down, mold building up, etc. I decided to do something new and use lowes pre-cut quartz and heavy duty loctite for glass.
