OMG that is just SICK!!!! WTF is wrong with people! I don't understand why people would not just turn them over to a shelter, reptile rescue, or even just give them away! HR699 is a BAD idea, why should we be punished for the love and care we give our animals...People like this are the ones who should be punished. But proves my point that if they would mirco chip the people that did this could be delt with. I really hope they find you did this and then flog them!

Things like this sadden me so much, no matter what kind of living thing that it happens to. These poor animals were obviously pets to someone and their only crime was to be taken care of and loved. I am a firm believer in the phrase,
"what goes around, comes around". A pox on whomever did this.

That is just appalling. I cannot understand anyone who could do this sort of thing, it makes me sick. Especially when you look around this website and see so many loving beardie owners who would go to huge lengths to make sure that their pet is as happy and contented as possible. I mean if that is how they treat their pets, I really, REALLY hope they don't have children.

This is both discusting and sad. Why oh why didn't they give them to someone who could care for them. I don't agree with the HR669nbill,but something needs to be done like mandatory chipping or something to identify people who do things like this.

oh my...are there even any words to describe what all us beardie lovers feel right now, that is so severely inhumane, the cruelty that has been inflicted on these poor defenseless beautiful creatures is an understatement !

it was bad enough when i read about someone breaking into an iguana rescue centre in the US and brutally murdered 6 iguanas! why oh why! what do you actually think go through their minds....

well i am so absolutely shocked right to my very core that someone could do this to such an animal, even if they couldnt/ wouldnt care/ love or respect them they could at least have gave them all away to better homes than doing this, what! was it too much trouble for them to do even this! oh gee...

im rambling now... i am at this very moment watching my 2 gorgeous dragons sleep very soundly in their little blankies and couldnt even comprehend anyone doing such a thing....my boyfriend actually believes im obsessed with my 2, i fret about them day in and day out about their temperatures, have they enough hides, rocks to climb on, are they happy, have they eaten enough today, do they like their greens, do they like me...so on and so on and so on, im terrible....

This was so cruel, i live in Hampshire and know there are plenty of caring people who would have taken them on if only an advert had been placed. No excuses for behaviour like this!

Unfortunately, there are far too many people out there who don't care for their pets properly, treat them badly, or neglect them while they have them, and then think its fine to just dump them when they tire of them. The really sad part of this is that, as long as the punishment for animal neglect or cruelty continues to be just a smack on the wrist, such as a fine, or being told that they can no longer own any animals, things are never going to get any better. If they were to pass some federal laws, which makes the punishment more fitting for the crime, such as jail time for people like this, people would think twice about doing it!

Myself, I think that anyone that neglects, willfully hurts, or kills an animal, especially an animal that is a pet who is in their care, should be locked up and have the same thing done to them! Then the punishment would REALLY fit the crime. They wouldn't think that is was acceptable to treat an animal that way, if someone gave them a dose of their own medicine! Unfortunately, that will never happen, but making it mandatory to do jail time for animal cruelty or neglect would be a good place to start.

People who do things like that to a helpless animal, especially an animal who probably loves them, make me sick!
