Cleaning Tanks

How often does one clean a tank (By that I mean, take everything out, clean the furniture and/or the sides of the tank.

What exactly is suggested to use? Normal water won't do the trick right?

I clean the glass and tile once a week and eveything once a month. My beardie doesn't poop in the tank, but he does in his bath. This allows the tank to not get as dirty. I use ZooMed Wipeout for the once a month cleaning.
