Did you put the cat there for a photo shoot? I'm not really a cat person anymore, but that picture is one major reason we refuse to have cats. One cat bite will kill (and has) a beardie. It's a very cute picture and I know most people have cats and beardies with no problems, we just don't like cats well enough to take the risk.

The cat looked like he was waiting to jump to freedom.

I thought my cat was the only one who wanted to get into the beardie house! If I leave Campbell's door open when I have her out, my cat will jump right in and settle down. He's too chicken to go in there while she's home though.

Not a staged photo for sure.
The cat watches Rocky all the time but is more interested in the crickets when we feed the dragon.
This time he was watching Rocky eat and when my wife walked in the room, there he was ---wishing he was out.
The cats (2 of them) and the dogs (2 boxers and an american bulldog) all seem more curious than aggressive. But we normally watc them pretty good. Just goes to show that it only takes a second for something to happen.

I have a kitty who jumps in the viv every chance she gets, too. I don't think she'd actually hurt Bowser, but we keep a close eye on them anyway and always lock up the cats before we let Bowser out to explore. But your cat in that pic looks more nervous than dangerous! :)

My cat, Louis, also is quite interested in Evalyn. He knows how to open the sliding glass doors to her viv with his teeth! I'll go back there and-- uh oh-- there he is, and Evalyn's black bearding him. He seems to think that she is a scaly mouse, so he's playful in a slightly aggressive way, so I've taken to closing my door tight before I leave.

I've done this ever since I found Louis in the viv and Evalyn nowhere to be seen

I found her under the covers on my bed about fifteen minutes later. How she got up there is beyond me.

But it seems that SOMEONE closed the viv door on Louis....

Mastermind beardie, perhaps?

The dragon locked the cat in her viv? :laughhard: Watch out Tatsu could use a talented recruit like her.

My kittens,(OK, cats, sorta) love to climb up in Bogie's tank on the front porch. It is STILL waiting for a front! Midnight will jump up beside Bogie and hog the basking light. He will cup his paw, (no claws out) and move Bogie over to make more room for his furry self! :laughhard: I haven't gotten video 'cause I'm too worried what might happen if I go for the camera. So far, no agression. I do watch closely at all times!

This isn't really about my beardies, but it is cute just the same. At our house we have 3 dogs and 4 cats, and none of them seem interested in our 3 beardies at all. However, we recently brought home a new pet. My parents bought me a baby ferret for Christmas, and her cage is on one end of the old dining room table that I feed the cats on, so the dogs won't eat their food.

Anyway, I got the ferret's food ready, and the dogs were outside, and no cats were anywhere around, so I left the ferret's cage door open while I went into the kitchen to get her food bowls. Sasha (the ferret) was on the top shelf of her cage, sound asleep. When I came back into the room, I found my 22 lb. Russian Blue Cat, Toby sitting inside the ferret's cage, and I arrived just in time to see Sasha jump off her shelf and land right on his head! LOL Toby was almost as big as the ferret's cage, and he couldn't get out of there fast enough! LOL Have you ever seen a huge, 22 lb. cat scared to death of a 2 lb. baby ferret! I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life!
:laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard:

The two of them have since made friends, but he's still not too sure whether he should be scared of her or not. Everytime she's out and starts jumping around, he heads for the hills.....I wonder if he'll ever get over being traumatized by a baby ferret!

What a cute photo merc!
And what a cute story Denise! Cats and ferrets make great play mates!

Cats have a natural tendency to enjoy cozy places, so stories of them crawling into warm beardie cages isn't anything surprising.

Our cats are scared to death of Esham, our monitor, but they are curious as they could be. They keep their distance for the most part. They really are curious about Blaze, our BD, when she is out, but I remain very careful with her since she is so small. I think by the time she is fully grown the cats will stay away. I will always supervise them when they are around each other, period.

What a bunch of cute stories!!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
