Wow... so this is what 5 days worth of poo looks like!

poop2.jpg

As you can see, she's well hydrated! :bleick:

I found this little gift waiting for me this morning when I got out of the shower. She seems to feel really good today - she's busy exploring the living room as I type this (and as I bleach the heck out of her viv). It was pretty stinky but not as bad as I expected it would be, and it was also pretty firm, considering her parasite load.

Is this too disgusting? I'm just so happy that she pooped! I promise I won't post a picture every time she poops. This is just her first non-impacted poo, so I'm pretty excited.

Nice poo! I'm glad to see that Campbell is feeling better! It's a huge difference from that first poo that we saw.

The stuff you used to get her to poo, can you just give that to your beardie at any time? My beardie has been acting strange and hasn't pooed since last Monday (a week ago) but she doesn't seem to be eating that much either. She's had 4 30 minute baths during that time. I'm not sure what is up with her; if she's impacted or just hasn't eaten enough...

I keep thinking she might be trying to brumate but she is only 7 months old and she seems to be awake while she is in her hide throughout the day. She has only been doing this for the past week or so, ever since she pooed last.

Furthermore, for the past 3 weeks she has been in the animal room with the ferrets, chinchilla, and snake. I'm wondering if she is just afraid of the other animals as before she was separated from them.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack your thread. I'm just wondering about the stuff you used to get Campbell to do the poo.

My vet told me that lactulose is a gentle laxative. I think it would be OK to use, although like any laxative you don't want to use it too much. Since she was so badly impacted, she got 3 ml at a time, but a smaller dose would work for a beardie with a less severe problem. I would probably still give your vet a call, or maybe Tracie knows. It worked like a charm with Campbell!

She had a normal sized poop today. I think she's finally onto a regular poo schedule - hooray! :blob5:

Yup, I got mine at Shoppers Drug Mart. It is kept behind the counter, but they'll dispense it in small amounts if you ask for it. I got 50 ml and it's way more than we'll ever use. Just be prepared for strange looks when you tell them it's for your lizard!

More good news - Campbell Jane had another nice, big, normal poop today. Still lots of mucus, but the vet says that's normal. The panacur seems to be helping - her appetite is much better and she's eating very enthusiastically now. And, she's gained some weight! She's up to 242g from 238g. Not a lot, but it's a start. :D

She gained weight?! Hip Hip Hooray!!! What wonderful news that she's eating and pooping on a regular basis now.
In no time, she'll be one plump and healthy beardie - and of course, spoiled

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
