What would be the outcome if I bred a normal beardy labeled as 'fancy' at pet store with no morph, with a trans het hypo? The breeding chart has a lot of blank spaces what does this imply?
Fancy doesnt mean anything genetic wise. So if the dragon has no morphs you would basically get some het trans and normal from the pairing. You wont get any visual trans and you wont get any hypos or even het hypos.
So all your dragons will look normal morph, with a few of them being hey trans but you wouldn't know which are het trans until those babies breed.
Just an addition, that doesn't mean that normal morphs cant be beautiful dragons. Depending on the saturation in color of the parents can really make some pretty babies.
Thanks for all info My friend has a leatherback female hypo and I have a normy "fancy" beardy. Also ordered a trans het hypo citrus that had a purple paradox sire. Looking to get a trans hypo male now and start breeding these magnificent dragons.. my aim is for purple paradox/blue/greeny blends of various scales. I got nice setup 50 gal bio tank going to try to house all three together and see how that goes (All small eventually will need to go bigger) if not separate or give the troubled one to my buddy with the Lb female .. I dunno first time getting beardies in a decade, my first dragon Nefarian wuz a fancy from same place he wuz a great dragon.. was snowish in color, extremely pale. Humbled by the experiance, now I wanna breed some together and learn more about them^_^
