VooDoo Member Mar 1, 2011 #1 Again, I'm a newb...learning as much as I can before I choose a beardie (either from on here or reptile show). I see some beardies that have black eyes. Meaning, you can't see any pupils, just solid black. What are these called? Thanks.

VooDoo Member Original Poster Mar 2, 2011 #5 OK, thanks guys... Now, do translucents have the spikey skin, or are they more smooth? Or are the smoother ones leatherbacks? Sorry, I'm still learning. And speaking of 'black', do males blackbeard way more than females?

Gail BD.org Addict Mar 2, 2011 #6 Leatherbacks are the smooth ones but you can get transparent leatherbacks. Males generally blackbeard more then females but some males never really beard much at all.
