Black eyes

Again, I'm a newb...learning as much as I can before I choose a beardie (either from on here or reptile show).

I see some beardies that have black eyes. Meaning, you can't see any pupils, just solid black.

What are these called? Thanks.

I believe hypos to have this trait. I may be wrong though.

Now, do translucents have the spikey skin, or are they more smooth? Or are the smoother ones leatherbacks?

And speaking of 'black', do males blackbeard way more than females?

Leatherbacks are the smooth ones but you can get transparent leatherbacks. Males generally blackbeard more then females but some males never really beard much at all.
