beardie throwing up???

my bearded dragon just threw up some thick, see through, sticky liquid (just like saliva really) when i went to give her, her medicine.???????

what could it be and why is it happened??

any ideas??

I am sorry no one has replied yet...I really don't know anything about beardies throwing up..but maybe this will bump your post up and someone else will chime in.

My girl is doing the same thing. Doc gave her some medicine to calm her stomach. Also did barium xrays, and says her digestive system is sluggish. Hope this helps.

I wish I could say yes, but the vomiting could be caused by something completely different. My girl has several health issues. Is she still throwing up? Chances are your beardie will be just fine. Let us know how she is doing when you can.

it was just the once thank god.
but taking her vets tomorrow so ill find out whats really wrong with her hopefully

What a relief to hear that it was only the once. I think they can get upset stomachs just like we can. My girl threw up every dyas for over a week, and after that still had the clear goo seeping out of her mouth occasionally for days. Hopefully your little one will get a clean bill of health. Let us know how the vet visit goes.

I am having the same problem with both of my dragons. They are throwing up and one of them has lost all of its fluids in the matter of 12 hours. I could only find one vet in our area on Saturday that would give me fluids to take home and give to my beardies until I take them to the reptile vet on Monday. They look really bad and no one knows what is wrong with them. I feel so bad and I have no idea how to make them feel better. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks

Hello,

What foods are you feeding her?
What are the temperatures in the tank & which thermometer are you using, a digital probe or temp gun?
You can try giving some probiotics such as non dairy soy yogurt, or acidophiliz to help settle the tummy. Did you take her to the vet?

My beardie has been to the vet. She does have pinworms, so we are now treating her with panacur. She is still not feeling well or acting right. I feed my dragons everything from veggies to dubias. They get a wide variety of everything. I feed the rep cal pellets and rep cal calcium. I have a Powersun light over their tank. I have given her over 50cc of fluid in the last 2 days. That is a lot for a desert animal. I am supposed to feed her a liquid diet such as baby food and I am adding some of the Reptiboost to it to try to get her appetite back. Any help would be great.
