Beardie has increased appetite

Hi everyone! My baby has had an increased appetite lately, and is eating a ton! I am wondering if that means he is going through a growth spurt? Also, I heard the rule is you feed them whatever they will eat in 15 minutes..is that true? And, if he is going through a growth spurt, should I feed him until he is full or should I stick to the 15 minute rule? I don't want to overfeed him, but at the same time he acts way more hungry than he used to so I don't know if I should feed him until he is full. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!

How old is your beardie? He probably is going through a growth spurt. If you aren't feeding 3 times a day and he is younger than 3 months old, that would be a good idea and using the 10 to 15 min rule. How many and what feeders is he eating in a day? What greens are you feeding?

He is about 4 months old. I am feeding him gut loaded crickets right now twice a day. I put greens in his tank but he still refuses to eat them. I honestly haven't been counting how many crickets I have been feeding him but when I have had a feeling he's had enough I stop even if he could still eat more. I just feel bad sometimes not letting him eat anymore because I feel he is still hungry but I also feel he has ate enough already! But I will stick to the 15 minute rule. I will also continue to give him greens in his tank. I have been leaving kale in there but I heard multiple different things that kale is bad for them but I also heard from another website its a good green to feed them. I actually work at a grocery store so I need some new ideas on greens to give him. I have heard collard greens but I don't remember seeing that in the grocery store. I also tried green beans but he did not eat them either. What is the best type of greens to get him, and if they don't sell it in a regular grocery store, where can I find it? Thanks!

It's not unusual for a 4 mo old to be able to eat 100 crickets a day, do you think he is eating more than that?

Here's a site that shows the best greens/veggies to feed in green print: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html Kale isn't good to feed every day because it binds calcium so his body isn't able to get what is needed. Perhaps you could try a different grocery store?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
