Bearded Dragon Escape

I hope she turns up... I accidently locked m beardie in the car the other day when it was raining (took him to the vet) and after the vet visit i guess i didn't get everything zipped up all the way and he fell out in the car. I found out when i went to put him in his cage (everyone had a vet visit. 2 bird, a dog and Apollo) so trying to wrestle 3 travel cages and a dog who doesn't want to move was a bit hard. Me and my boyfriend ran outside with flashlights and searched for an hour befor he decided to look in my car and move the extra blanket that was in there. there was apollo. I so know the feeling of not knowing where your baby is....

I don't mean to be negative, but are you in an area without any wild animals (especially birds) around?
Where I live there are raccoons, hawks, dogs, cats, possums, snakes, and many other things that would be a potential danger to a dragon.

You're not being negative - just realistic. We have lots of little birds, but nothing that even poses a threat to my little rabbit. On the other hand, we have lots of homeless cats. I think it's unlikely a large bird or cat carried her off, but it's entirely possible that birds or cats could have killed her by now.

IN OTHER NEWS...I posted a Craiglist ad titled something like, "Missing Bearded Dragon," and got three phone calls last night about "the Bearded Dragon for sale." :roll:

What about putting out a small bin of chirping Crix? I know my guy when he is out and about and hears them heads straits for them! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! I know u must be going crazy! Every time I get an email wig an update for this thread I get hopeful!!! How's the temps in ur area? Hoping they are good and she is at least keeping warm. Do u have a porch? Maybe she got undr it? I know u have probably looked everywhere imaginable. Keep us posted we are all hoping for happy news!

68 degrees (Fahrenheit) right now, high was around 80 today. I've actually been keeping my cricket bin outside, but she hasn't approached it - at least not to my knowledge. I've still got her basking rock, favorite log, and food bowl in the middle of the yard though. :?

Hope she comes soon .Does she have particular blanket to cuddle,maybe if you put that outside she might snuggle in it.The best time to go look for her is at dawn and dusk.

No sign of her. The temps are back up to a point where she could survive, so hopefully she's out gobbling the local insects. I do the obligatory check in my front and backyard every day, but I'm not expecting to find her. I've heard crazy stories of Bearded Dragons turning up months after they disappear, so maybe she'll show up one day.

Did u check all the bushes and plants? My brother lost his iguana when we were kids and he was found 1 week later hanging out in the middle of a bush in the neighbors yard!

I've checked so many bushes so many times. Both of my neighbors have extensive gardens in their front and back yards. Adding to the confusion, the yard directly behind mine is a lot that borders the entire block.
