You can get a syrenge and fill it up with a few cc's of water and let it drip off of it's nose.

Beardies know how to drink and what water is. If you only fill the bath up to their armpits, they won't inhale water. Just make sure that you bathe them in the morning or afternoon so they have ample amount of time to warm up before bedtime.

I am highly against spraying a beardie. It's a mist that coats the body and in no sense allows it to drink properly. Some beardies need more water than what it drinks. Beardies will also absorb water through their vent while in the bath.

If you give a beardie a bath while it is shedding, then it will loosen up the shed and help it come off while relieving the tension on the poor thing.

I think once a week at most is fine...or only when shedding. This has worked for me for many years and I just like people to know that there is an option...especially since I know of 2 people who've had beardies drown [ one did barely revive] and I noticed that most who post on here about resp. infections do have the habit of bathing. There are more cons versus pros IMO...and I've bred many, many beardies.

I have several beardies that like to drink from the spray bottle.
How lazy can they get :?: just open mouth mom will do all the work.

Just make sure that you keep your spray bottles washed good so algae doesn't build up in them.

Thank-you! Yes I am...they are much more stressful than owning a normal one headed beardie.
I feel honored to have the experience of caring for them an I love them to death, but it is not really something I would want to do again. They are amazing, but many other things that go with caring for them...it's much like having handicapped twins...you must always be watching them. I've stressed for nearly 3 years now because I was told they wouldn't live. Every little strange breath...movement...look in their eyes will make you go crazy thinking something is wrong with them.
I use to need a baby sitter when I needed to go out now that my kids are grow I need a Zak-n-Wheezie sitter that is if I can pull myself away from them.

Just let him be. Don't stress him out too much. You can be calm and try to pick him up. If you can't do it, don't force it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
