Baby Beardie Glass Surfing?

I just got my first beardie a couple days ago. He's a couple months old, so still tiny (~6"). I noticed today that he's glass surfing/dancing. The terrarium (40 gal) is set up in a corner with a background and the far left side against the wall. The front and right side are open to my room. The temp is good, and he's been eating as far as I can tell. Is this normal behavior when in a new terrarium?
I'm just concerned because he's clawing at the glass pretty aggressively and trying to climb it. I just don't want him to hurt himself. Is there a way to stop this or will it pass on its own?

Thanks!

As long as your temps are fine and he/she is eating okay you should be fine.
Mine has done this and he normally just wants out and to explore and run around a little!
They don't always like being cooped up all the time.

Dragons don't understand glass - they can't see it so they don't really know why they can't just go through it. For some reason or another he wants to go somewhere else, it's good to rule out being unhappy with his enclosure.

How are you measuring temps and what are they?

How are you feeding? "As far as I can tell" suggests you may be leaving crickets in the tank with him, just want to make sure that's not the case.

Anyway, if that's all sorted and ok - just try and make sure your viv is comfortable for your little one. Provide branches/furniture they can climb on and even have places to stay out of sight - little babies can be stressed by large empty spaces.

Thanks for the responses. It seems like it was just his way of getting used to his new home. He hasn't been doing it these past few days so things are good!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
