Angie, Loki, Laura & Dozer (new pics 03/29/15)

I wanted to introduce everyone to our new girl. She is on her way now from Denver, CO. I will post some new pictures tomorrow but these are the ones we have so far. She is part leatherback.

Angie got her flashy lights, bet she's very happy to see them :mrgreen: And you're doing that for your dragons, too, Esther. They'll all be very happy.

My panacur trio are still quarantined for 2 more weeks and the lights I put up are outside on the balcony, but they can still see them as they're up so early, 6:30a. I'll put the lights up next month, there are rules here on when you can put stuff up on your balcony edge :roll: honestly, my balcony is at the very back looking onto the parking lot of a nursing home, could the rules be any more stupid :lol:

Gina, she was so cute watching her sparkly Christmas ball this morning. She discovered that she can see it from the kitchen table when she's with us while we're having our coffee.

We'd have to have eyes in the back of our heads trying to keep an eye on those 3. :laughing6:

Deb, that's so silly that the lights on the balcony can't be put up too soon especially since they would be over the parking lot of a nursing home. Gee, who would even know if you put them up early. :roll:

I agree, but I'll ask again when they can be put up, after all, it's dark & they look lovely, plus I put them around the dwarf cedar tree I have outside in a huge pot. That's my Xmas every year. Sometimes I hang up decorations on the tanks and I always put out the sleigh my eldest niece made me years ago and put the plump decorations in there, about 5 rows of them, the sleigh is that big

Someone walks around mid January to make sure all decorations are down & that there aren't any flower pots on the edges (that I can understand, they can fall easily & I'm 3 stories up). I have tables outside though, that my plants go on and that's fine. I live in a building of townhomes and condominiums, so there are very strict rules.

Deb, I bet the lights look nice around your dwarf cedar tree, what a great idea. I think they need to stretch the rules a little for you after all, the balcony is shared by your beardies and they need to count too. :wink:

Blue, I'll bet Alucard will enjoy some Christmas lights. I don't actually hang them off of Angie's tank, I think she can actually view them better when she looks at them in the room.

We like the name Loki too and it suits him. Our 10 1/2 yr old that passed way had the name Judas and that suited him. He was our son's beardie that he got for his 16th birthday so now Loki is his.

Angie had fun today.Here's some pics of her laying on a heated cornbag with her lizard blanket over her that Dawn made (Loki has one too). She loves listening to Harry Potter audio DVD's and would do that for hours if she could. She thinks the narrator is talking directly to her. :lol: She does the head tilt when he changes the tone of his voice to sound like different characters. She's getting ready to shed in a lot of areas including the top of her head.

She sure looks comfy, that is a cute blankie. Isn't that funny that she likes Harry Potter. Mine watch Disney Jr TV channel all day & seem to like it alot. It gets turned off when I get home at night. Funny how they like certain things.

Dawn did a beautiful job on the blankets, they are all fleece and feel like the softest baby blanket you can imagine. Angie's is the orange color inside & Loki's is lime green.

I got a kick out of her smile when I downloaded the pictures, didn't notice it until then. :mrgreen:

Angie is too much. I can't get over how she likes to listen to the narration of the Harry Potter audio DVD. You're probably right, Diane, in that she thinks the guy is talking to her. So cute!

She looks too comfy on the heated corn bag, covered up under the blanket, with her chin resting on the kitty cat. So sweet.

She is a riot Gina. On Tuesdays, my day off, Josh listens to the audios and the minute I take Angie out of her tank, she runs over & sits right in front of one of the speakers were her head up in the air & intently listens to the narrator talking to HER. She stays put & even if Josh has something else to do, he puts a new disc in when it ends so that she is entertained. The look on her face when one is over is so funny. She stays put but whips her head around wondering what happened, just waiting for one of us to "fix it" or make the man all better so he can talk to her again. :lol:

I think she was on about the 3rd disc when we let it finish so I could give her a bath. After the bath was over, I dried her off, heated up the cornbag & set her up in front of the speaker & Josh turned the disc on again. There she laid with her eyes wide open & content letting him finish the storyline. LOL

While I was waiting for Paul to come home from work, I let her sit in front of the window in the kitchen overlooking the water garden for a while and then when he came home, she had to see him. She licked his arm & climbed half way up, laid her head down while he stroked her back. The whole top of her head & other parts are very heavy with shed right now so she needed comforting from dad. She laid there & kept closing her eyes as he petted & talked to her. Boy, did he MELT! :mrgreen: She is SO spoiled and she knows it. :roll:

I can't get over how much she loves to listen to Harry Potter, that's just so Angie :lol: And I can tell she's got Dad wrapped around her little paw, she's such a character. Those pics of Loki are cute, too, he reminds me alot of Leo, he's my pudgy one, too.

Deb, you should see her in Lowe's, they have the instructional videos set up and she wants to listen to & watch every one. Of course, they're all talking to her too. :mrgreen:

Loki is a big boy, very stocky. The thickness of his tail is unbelievable. He has actually firmed up some from all the swimming he does as we now use the plastic bath bin in the bath tub so they get to swim there. But, Angie's not too impressed lol.
