They're babies for about 4-5 months, then juveniles until they over a year old. They're full mature at 2 years as they can still grow in length during their 2nd year. Then they're full grown at 2. The oldest beardie I've ever heard of was 15 years old, but 10 yrs is considered a normal life span. So prepare yourself for years of loving your dragon!
Thank you. We have two of them in one cage. We do not know the sex of the dragons. They seem to be fine together. I am wondering what some of their behavoirs are. They bob their heads, one more than the other. The other one will slowly move its front legs alternately about four or five times each, kind of like streching them. If you have any answers :study: or can recommend a book about Bearded Dragons I would appreciate it.
Bearded dragons shouldn't be housed together no matter of their gender. The fact one is head bobbing and the other arm waving means you could have baby beardies in no time, either that or a dead dragon. I would separate them asap. I don't know about books have a look on amazon, although just googling things and reading this forum should answer your questions.
As Phoebe said, the one is dominant (with the black beard) and the arm waving means submission. They are solitary animals & can turn on each other & fight to the death when you least expect it. Some dragons are ok together, but not often. So if they're already showing these signs, it's time to get another set up. Instead of sand, why don't you use newspaper, it's great to clean up poops & easy to replace.
Good luck

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
