Addiction! Can't get enough!

It seems that many of us are already several steps in when we join the program. Some of us are forced to skip steps due to life circumstances. Welcome to BDA. Also, it is important for you to know that BDA is more like an enablers group. We support one another on being BD slaves :whip: and on raising spoiled, pampered little (or huge) dragons. :love5: Those of us who can afford (and some of us who really can't) try to have as many beardies as we possibly can. I have a 3 month old (Mango) and I am already scheming to get my next one. I wonder how difficult it is for the women to convince their men to let them get additional BDs. Luckily, the children are on my side, so my wife is outnumbered. Anyway, welcome!

Im in the same situation. I have a 3 month old and i am getting ready to start again! Of course, i would NEVER get rid of Zing.

I have 10 dragons now.... and I love them all. My dragons are stress relievers for me... but they now are occupying three rooms of our house and 1/4 of our fridge space for their salad ingredients. I have 2000 crickets in my house, 8 tubs of phoenix worms, and 1000 superworms on their way which will arrive next week. My friends and family think I'm nuts. Maybe I am... but these sweet beardies are a nice addiction, in my opinion. I keep everything very clean and pleasant, and every beardie is thriving. So in my opinion... there will never be too many!

I think this is a wonderful addiction. Ive convinced my hubby to get the 2 baby dragons, making our count 5, and we just rescued a iguana. How on earth did you convince your hubby to grow your population to 10????

my name is lee and im a beardie addict...lol and i dont know how silkworms taste but i have tried wax worms and there not bad they r squishy to eat and dont really taste like anything...lol :wink:

My hubby has said I can have as many as I want as long as they make me happy.... and they make me happy!!! I have a very stressful job and my beardies are my little stress relievers. Their sweet little faces and scaly little bodies and beards are just adorable to me. I am now rescuing beardies. I'm up to 11 beardies now!! I know I will probably taper it off soon because each beardie needs love and attention every day... and there are only so many hours in a day. Also, we are running out of room! My husband intends to build custom habitats for all of them. Luckily, my kids love them, too.... and they hold them, feed them, and pay attention to all of them when I'm working. My kids now call me "Lizard Lady" LOL

Never too many beardies.

I try to throw in a comment about "the next one" everyday and before she knows what happened :lurk: I will sneak one in and she won't even remembered objecting.

LOL I totally understand! I had a life too, once.

Then I got a baby beardie. Then I rescued a beardie male.

Then I rescued another beardie.

Now My life revolves around finding the best produce section in town. Trying to figure out which worms are best. Breeding roaches in my living room, and scrubbing stinky poo out of tanks as soon as I get home at night.

I am bathing the dragons while my hubby bathes the child. LOL

They are a fun addiction

That sounds exactly like my life now! I fuss over my 11 beardies like they are my kids. I've become a beardie slave! But I love it. Taking care of them is fun.... its not work. I truly love my beardies.

I don't like going to the dr's unless I feel like I am dying or need a note for missing work, but I'm taking Draco for his second vet visit tomorrow morning in about a months time. I want to get the lump by his back and tail checked out plus help figure out why he doesn't eat that much. Plus I have to work all night tonight till 6:00 A.M. then have him at the Vet at 8:00 A.M. And to add on to the Little shop of horrors for the fun of it I found some of the songs from the movie online and while I was playing it it was like Draco was making the same lip smacking that the plant does when it wants semores blood lol Although I figure he was dehidraded and sprayed him with a little bit of water. I also had 4 different things for food in his tank for if he was hungry.
