Addiction! Can't get enough!

I'm now obsessed with bugs! Me....I never liked bugs! :shock:

I thought I was bad but have to confess the cricket thing is getting to me. Prior to my love of beardies and getting Yoda who is brilliant and become such a character. I hate creepy crawlies. Worms didnt bother me I used to fish with my grandad but had cold sweats and everything if spiders were about. I am a bit of a face my fear sort anyway but if I ever find myself being addicted to bugs I think I may freak out and thing I have gone mad. Not suggesting anyone who is, is mad but its so not me.

That said I am so obsessed with Yoda and caring for her and things that are for her well being I am not sure I would be that shocked - I love watching her eat. My fear of creepies gives me a sadistic satisfaction from it I think lol. :evil: :twisted:

I have found myself being reletively unbothered by the crix these days but wouldnt like them on me still yyyyyyyyuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkk.

Yoda has taken to climbing on the cage around the che at the cool end which is used at night on a stat its cold in england right now. She is like having a baby she will climb on anything is that common?

I am also addicted to bugs. I breed Dubia and I look at every possible discussion I see on here about them. Both of my young children talk about the roaches. My 4 year old always wants to hold them. In the past 2 weeks, she has continuously reminded me that "we need to count the roaches Dad." This is her way of saying that she wants to play with them.

That's hilarious! My mom won't let me have roaches in the house. :evil: I was gonna get a pet madagascar roach and "accidentally" drop it in Zinger's feeding cage. lol jk, jk. Those things are like 20 bucks and I would probably get attached! :roll:

So today my wife tells me, "You do everything at 150%. There's not much in between." Apparently this is bad because some things are time consuming?? Like...having a beardie, talking about getting another one soon, building a viv complete with tile, building a fake rock, and another one, and another one, and wanting to make another one, and building a stand for your viv, and talking about building another viv for a beardie you don't have yet, and breeding feeders, and...and...and...and...I'm not addicted to anything. These beardies are really cute, enjoyable, fascinating to study and "costly".............My 7 month old Sandy is healthy, personable and mellow - but my monthly feeding bill is pretty high - I'm ordering all the GOOD worms, throw in a few crickets and veggies & fruit (which is my food I share). I'm not totalling up the bill, but is more than a cat or dog. I could not afford another - plus I don't have a spot for a second 50 gal tank anyway.

I eat, sleep, breathe my babys.....

3 human children.. 19 female(due to give me a grandbaby in 2weeks to a month woot!)works at a vet since she was 14 *black beards* me all the time! :laughhard: 17 female sweet kind and friendly :love5: 15 1/2 female <-- thats her smart and always trying to get out of her viv! :laughhard:
1 Full grown human I call my hubby hehe his main behavior is :roll: everytime we go out (petstores). Tile i dream of all the pretty colors...I have nightmares about crickts comming after me :lol: Ive tried to convince the house to let me breed dubias(they said a big fat NO :x ) Im always looking up stuff online to campare prices... :shock:

We have right now 1 beardie Chimera... owned by the escapee(15 yr old)..

Someone on the forum told me... *becareful they are like lays chips you CAN"T have just one!!* :shock:
Boy they were right! The urge was strong and hit me hard! So now I have 2 more babys on the way...... 2 days away!
They both have their viv's fully furnished already *sigh* they have me trained already and they havnt arived yet!!

I spend all my extra time reading and learning all i can about them. BD.org ...........so addicting too!

LOL! Christy, that was great! I must need some caffeine or something because, at first I read that your 19 year old has a beard. I was thinking, "poor thing needs laser hair removal" :laughhard: then I realized, "oh! she has a back talking female trying to find her way." Then I read that you have a 15 1/2 inch female that keeps escaping. But of course that's your 15 YEAR old that keeps sneaking out. :laughhard: :laughhard:

Our little Mango is boycotting roaches right now so my colony is booming! He is on a worm kick right now so it's Superworms and Silkworms everyday. Congrats on the new arrivals. Post pics when you get them. I really want another one, but I have been told that I have to wait.

I honestly think I have hit my limit with my addiction. This last one who is also the biggest one has turned my once docile males into raving teenages. Yes I know it's my fault because he can see two of the males but geesh he's driving me BONKERS.

When my grandaughter watches movies, my bd, Sandy, goes to the cool side of her viv and actually sits there watching the movie (she likes the colorful animations). So yesterday when my grandaughter WASN"T here, she went to that side and kept scratching the glass, jumping like crazy - kinda freaking out. So I put in a movie for her - thinking that's what she wanted. But NO .............it was a fly buzzing around the room. Had to laugh not only that I did the movie, but also that Sandy noticed the fly. I couldn't catch the fly - so this may happen again.
