Well, it all started by me getting pissed off at my mom because she has told me that I was going to be moved into a bigger room in the house about 6-7months ago and I am still waiting... I was upset now mostly because I have Ace which although was smaller when I got him, he is not so small now! so I decided that I was going to do something about it and I did!
this is Ace's old TINY 10gallon viv! (I was always sad for Ace being in there but I had the hopes of moving into the other room quickly and setting up his tank ASAP!)
So I measured the tank and I did my own measuring for extra space!
I bought 4 pieces of 2x4 in which I told the guy in Home Depot if he could cut me 4 pieces of 38 inches long... well, I get home and I measure them in which they were for some reason 36 1/4 exactly! I was a little upset in the fact that I know I said 38inches and my Fiance even knows I said 38... well whatever things happen and I made the best of it. I made the width 2x4's longer and put them on the outside so that the tank could fit!
Here is me cutting the wood!
the wood has been cut!
and now for piecing them all together.
Measure twice and do it once!
This is a comparison to the stand that I had made for his old tank. Ahhhh! what a difference! (the wood is two different types that we has lying around in the garage!)
The beginning
Ace's New home!
Gatwick's New home!
and this is my Beautiful Fiance... she was taking pictures and thought that she would take these pics and try to pull off saying that she actually did something. lol! in the simplest and nicest way that I can say this, when my Fiance helps with something dealing with power tools she has EXTREMELY HORRIFIC luck!
I know some people might comment on the sand... but I love the sand and they are big enough I believe to not really have a problem... I will also update tommorrow on Amber's tank as I did some changes to her tank also! I am so proud that I made this stand and in such a short time!
