Well, I guess we are taking him back to the store. Nothing more I can do. I don't want to take him back, but what more can I do?

Update on Stanley. Well we took him back to the store. The reptile lady says that yep he's sick. Possible impaction. They are going to check him out and try to help him. Hope they can. We did pick up a different one as she says that most of her Sandfires are having a hard time. This little guy my son has named Perry ( after the platypus on Phinias and Ferb )lol. This one we actually witnessed eat 3 crickets while we were trying to pic which one we wanted. With the proper lighting and the right temps and whatnot, I'm hoping this one will be ok. At least I know it ate today. Now just waiting for the first poop. Wish us luck. Thanks for all the great advice. I will keep you all posted. :D

This guy is so active it's crazy. My son wanted to see if he would eat something else. So I gave him some mango purée. I guess I should slowly introduce different food items. Sounds funny but you all will understand, anxiously awaiting his first pooh.

Well this little guy is showing us that Stanley definatly was sick.Perry is chasing down his crickets. He is a bit skittish with me right now, but it's only day 2. We have purchased a 36-18-18 enclosure. Was going to set it up tomorrow. Is that going to be to big for this little guy? He's only about 5 inches long, but he speeds across the tank we have him in now. I'm sure this question has been posted before, but can I feed him to much? Cause he's eating a lot.

Beardies do not overeat. When their bellies are full they will stop eating. Baby beardies eat tons! Make sure you have enough money for the food LOL. :D

At what age was Jericho eating that much?
I know there is a list of foods to feed. I am definatly feeding crickets, what else is good at this age. I really won't be able to take it if this little guy gets sick. I'm going to continue reading, but I'm told this is the goto place for info, so I'll ask the masses.

No meal worms!! I fed Spike meal worms once because I was told that lots of beardies grow up on meal worms only. Not only do they have very little nutrients.. but Spike wouldn't eat again for over a day because he was having such a hard time digesting the meal worms. Scared me to death.. and I know you don't need that kinda of scare right now. The Phoenix worms seem like an amazing item.. but are only available online where I live.. not sure for you. They love wax worms but they are very fattening. I give Spike about 2 a week or so. Has anyone directed you to Beautiful Dragons yet?? Its a nice list of foods for them. It is color coded as to how often they should be offered each type of food.

I have that site bookmarked!

Is that an Exo Terra cage? I have one that size for my leopard geckos. You'll have to put the UVB light under the screen though or it'll be too far and too filtered from the screen. It's a great tank. The front loading doors are very convenient. I ended up taking the foam background out though because crickets kept climbing up there to hide. So watch out for crickets and make sure they don't hide up there. When I took out the foam, I also found 2 mealworms making all sorts of tunnels. I hope my leopard geckos didn't lick up the black foam dust.

If you want to cut tiles for the bottom of the tank, the area inside is actually 35.5" x 17.5". The tiles will fit perfectly.

Yes it's the Exo terra. We are just getting it set up right now. Thanks for the tip about the back. No meal worms, got it. I guess once he gets bigger. I have the nutrition page saved. Wanting to print it up for the kitchen cupboard. That way if anyone else feels like feeding they won't accidentally give the wrong item. Will try and post some pictures soon.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
