    Surfing

Perfectly normal, beardies like attention and if they are not getting enough they will do what ever they can to get your attention. However, there are other reasons that they may want to get out of their viv. Check temps are correct, as if its too hot they can also behave in this way simply...

Possible skin condition? Please see pics.

I cant tell from your photos, but regarding the 'crack' so said about, it is most likely the onset of a shed. As for the colouration, its quite likely just a colour pigment.

    Black Beard

How old is Mia? If she is reaching sexual maturity then this will happen, kind of the beardie equivalent of a grumpy teenager. Grumpy, my female went through a phase of blackening her beard for about a month as she matured, but has not had a black beard since.

Can Beardies get vegetables through insects?

One tactic to introduce veggies, which I have found works is this; Get some white plasty card, or a plain white plastic tub lid will do. Put this in a corner of their viv and place small bits of green leaf (dadelion, colard or corriander etc) dotted on the plastic. Your beardie should be...

    Baby beardie bonding?

If you want to feed with tweezers and create a bond I would recommend putting a towel on your lap, nursing your beardie and feed him while he sits there. The bonding will come with time and patience as people have said above, also bear in mind that just like any other animal a beardies mood...

    Food issue? Please help.

It would be fine to go a few days, where you just offer him veggies, add some suplement to them though. However, if this has only recently started I would not be too concerned, I find beardies go through phases just like us, where they may only want certain food types for a while. Try offering...

    RETAINED SHED, HELP

I agree with rankins, this does not look problematic, the main thing is to ensure that there is no retained shed on his tail, feet or legs, personally I find that dabbing such an area with cotton wool which has a little olive oil on it can help loosen any stuborn old skin.

Baby beardie likes veggies better than bugs!?

How often are you bathing him, if you are concerned that he may be blocked up then a nice long bath may solve this. It is also possible that he just does not have the confidence to go for live crickets. The advice above sounds good and may well work, but alternatively you may want to try him...

    Reptile Carpet

Generaly the first sign of them being gravid I find is digging, yes I provide a lay box, but if you have a hard floor only they can do a little damage before hand.

    bathtime

Yeah luke warm is a good descriptive, I fill mine about 2 inches deep this means they dont get their ears wet, also after I put them in I splash water over their legs, back and tail, just to make sure their skin is well moisturised and rub a bit of water over the top of their heads. I also drip...

    bedtime

If it gets cold in your bedroom a hot water bottle is a bad idea as once it cools she will be sleeping on a cold surface, you know you can buy electric blankets that only warm one side of a bed and have thermostat contols, this could be a good alternative.

    Swollen leg / joints

I think there are many others here that can advise you better, but just so you get an early responce... You say that you dust everything, supliments should not be constantly given, not only can a dragon have too much and inbalance their system, powder will absorb alot of water in their bodies...

    bathtime

General rule I go by is a little warmer than room temp, ie it should feel warm to touch but not at all hot (although I have come accross alot of conflicting advice), if it is still a little too hot your beardie will not like it and let you know (they will thrash about to try and get out) put...

    Nail clipping

I would not advise clipping a beardies nails, however from your pics I can only see a soft fabric substrate layer, provide it with some hard surface in your viv and this may well blunt them a little. Beardies are meant to have sharp claws. On occasion I get a few scratches from mine if they...

    True temp?

I would say that you are right and that the heat being registered is influenced by the ambient heat from the cave, also that the heat from your cave beneath your dragon is actually a fair bit higher. Personally I would move that nice log you have under the lamp at an angle for him/her to bask...

    Reptile Carpet

Lots of advice here for tile, I personally have an old victorian roof tile (slate) covering part of my viv floor, however you MUST be aware of one thing.... If your Beardie is female at some point she will go gravid and will start digging like made no matter what surface you have. Therefore you...

Feed inside the viv or out?!

I had a previous Beardie that was scared of hoppers, simply because they could get higher than her in the viv. When ever I released them she would hunker down and not move. I had to hand feed her them. I would not advise simply leaving them as they can nibble at a beardies scales and coarse...

    New tanks...need help with lighting!

Sorry to say this, but this looks like an awfull design, can you return them? For a start it seems any substrate you put in will spill out whenever you open them. It also looks plastic so the heat lamps you need for a beardie will certainly have an effect on it, even if you dont melt it you...

3 year old male scratching at the glass of his terrarium.

Other than hormones which is likely a reason for his actions, how often are you handling him? and does he get a run out regularly, beardies do enjoy a decent ammount of exercise, if you have been keeping him in due to cold weather he may just be telling you he wants to stretch his little legs.

    ??? Lesbian Beardies ???

I am not a newbie with beardies and your claims that they always kill/mutilate one another when kept together are far from factual. That is what happens if they are left together without proper care or space and also what can happen merely due to a clash of personalities on occasions, but it is...
