My understanding is that no sand for anything less than a year old and only play sand bought at places like Home Depot after that. I have mine on tile and won't be changing (she's only six months old) anyway so not an issue with me.

These seem to be nose plugs? I looked online and they look like what she has. She just finished a shed yesterday and I was hoping they would go away along with the shed but it's still there.

My beardie is five months old and I noticed after her recent shed that her nose ports were capped. I have read that this is very common and to take a wet Qtip and try to rub the shed off when I give her a bath. Has anyone else experienced this?

I cover mine with a white terry cloth wash rag as well as a lightweight piece of flannel now that it's cooler in the house at night than it was. She curls up in it and then doesn't move a muscle until I wake her in the morning. (After her 12 hours of shut-eye. :D )

This is so precious. I'm just now getting into Beardies after buying my first one a month ago. I'm so in love with her and can only imagine how your little guy comforted you. So glad you have him!

I'm with LooptyLou too and also have a beardie. After we bathe them, they get cuddles in a towel for at least that amount of time before bed so no worries! :D

I'm dying over here about the squishy! :lol: We haven't had that experience with our babies as of yet but I'm sure it'll happen in time.
