I used Birch plywood on my enclosure, and it turned out amazing. You can also use Oak and Maple plywood. They carry all 3 of these at Home Depot. Most hardware stores should have them, if not, then they should be able to order it in for you.

We just put one enclosure on top of the other one. We put a sheet of non-slip drawer liner in between the two units, and that worked well for us.
