    Unusual substrate idea?

I don't keep Uros, but I am interested to know why they are being kept on bird seed?

    Unusual substrate idea?

Heard the strangest thing the other night on my FB group. Apparently people are using bird seed as substrate in their bearded dragon cages now. Apparently this idea came from Uromastyx keepers and has been transferred to beardie tanks now. Apparently Millet is the *best* to use, but I've...

New Video of my Frilled Dragon

Actually, I've noticed this behaviour with my cats too. If there is a reptile tail sticking out, they have this need to try and chew on it if I'm not looking.

    Need advice on bene bac

Ha, my first tree frog I ever bought ended up having two different types of parasites. I ended up learning a lot in the process, and eventually found a vet that I love going to. I paid $40 for the frog and over $300 in vet bills because the first vet I saw wasn't very good. People thought I...

    Need advice on bene bac

$20 is a good price, but it is up to you if you want to wait or not. If you don't think your dragon is in immanent danger, then it's fine to wait a few days. If it turns out that your dragon does have parasites, Bene-Bac is a great post medication treatment. Many of the drugs are tough on the...

    Need advice on bene bac

If the animal is drinking too much water, then yes, that can cause watery poop in any creature. Too many baths can cause the animal stress (if they do not enjoy the baths), or could cause issues like respiratory infections from too much humidity - but it's unlikely. Runny stools in reptiles is...

For the wood piece in your tank, I would put it in the sink, wash it with some Dawn dish soap and some bleach, and rinse well. You can also put it in the oven at 300F for an hour or more, depending on how thick it is. Romain is only an ok veggie, and Iceberg shouldn't be fed as is has no...

    Need advice on bene bac

Bene-Bac for Birds and Reptiles is a FANTASTIC product. I highly recommend it, and it is a staple item in my pet first aid kit. All the Bene-Bac products are really good. I've used Bene-Bac on all my frogs, reptiles, and also some of their other varieties for my cats and rats too. There is a...

    Where Can I Buy Styrofoam?

I got a bunch of Styrofoam for free from our local pet shop. Their fish order comes in every two weeks, and the "coolers" that the fish are packaged in are actually Styrofoam sheets that line the walls of the box. If you want to get it for free, I would check out the pet shops in your area...

DIY Fake Rock Water Fall Question

I've been using GE Silicone II for Windows and Doors for the past 3 years on all of my tank builds. I've used it on my tanks for my tree frogs, semi-aquatic frogs and my aquatic frogs. I've also used it in my tanks with my Cresties. It was recommended to me by other froggers I was told not...

DIY Fake Rock Water Fall Question

First I'm going to say that this is not going in my dragon's tank, it's for my Poison Dart Frogs. I am going to be building them a fake rock water fall, that will be about 2-1/2 feet high to go into their new Exoterra, (36x18x36x) I am using a canister filter to provide the water source, and...

    Wood questions?????

I used Birch plywood on my enclosure, and it turned out amazing. You can also use Oak and Maple plywood. They carry all 3 of these at Home Depot. Most hardware stores should have them, if not, then they should be able to order it in for you.

    Question about stackable enclosures...

We just put one enclosure on top of the other one. We put a sheet of non-slip drawer liner in between the two units, and that worked well for us.
