Romeo is doing great! I just moved and he has been hiding for a few days, but thats normal with all the changes. Besides the move, he is now over 20 inches-big, lazy and very relaxed being handled.

I am wondering if anyone has personal experience buying a crimson red, or crimson red leatherback beardie from A-1. There babies look great and very red, but I know some people mess with the color in the photo. Any help!! Thank you, Yates

Thanks for info! I wonder why nobody else has commented? Your beardie is gorgeous but isn't she supposed to be all yellow like the breeder photo on the website?? It looks like she has some red.

I take him out and let him roam almost every day and he does perk up and occasionally run for a short period. I think I will try more roaming time but is it a problem that I only have time to let him...

I want to find a healthy staple feeder to mix in with my established dubia colony. Superworms seem cheap and easy but arent the healthiest. I like butterworms and looking at most nutrition charts they have low fat and high calcium but many people say they make beardies obese. Any truth to this...

My juvi is almost 8 months old, 19 inches snl, and I am wondering why he never seems that active. Even when I let him out of his cage it takes him a while to start exploring the room and he only runs on occasion. Even when I put his dubias in his cage to eat at 5-6pm, he stares at them, waits...

No help- But my 8 month juvie seems SO lazy his hunting skills have diminished. He literally waits for the roaches to get very close to him before he bites.

No advice... Okay- I am currently letting the roaches roam in his cage and he is eating more every day. I just give him small to medium roaches in the evening and he eats almost all of them> He does not eat the adult males (adult dubias too large? Hes 19 inches!)

Carlos- I got my beardie, critter condo and reflector all from Livingston lizard lounge. The owner is Joshua and he sells the reflectors for 18 inch bulbs for $15 I beleive. Very helpful dude.

Okay--- So I bought a dog type feeding dish and most of the roaches can't escape but my beardie dosent touch them. If I let them loose he eventually eats most of them but then there are always a few hiding to where he can't get him. Given-- he is LAZY and usually waits for the roaches to wander...

My friend builds RC cars for racing and he explained to me that I can set the fan to turn on ONLY when the temps get to hot (with a thermostat of some sort) and turn off once they cool. I am NOT handy and I will try his method but does anyone on the forum know how to set this up without breaking...

^ Thats what most people say, but I have heard otherwise from THE OWNER of sticky farms and BEATUFULDRAGONS website, that the D3 isn't needed or useful at all. I think the d3 for non-MVB info is dated and not correct. Anyone know what I'm talking about????

I moved the UVB with an added reflector, and placed slate tile pieces for substrate. He seems a lot happier, but he is still pretty lazy( still adjusting to the new cage I hope). He has been eating 3-6 medium sized dubias, sometimes an adult male or two. I always feel like I'm doing something...
