    Male Or Female?

Duh! Thanks you guys. I knew a male had two bumps and the female had one, but apparently I was looking in the wrong place. LOL I have another adult female and wanted to house the two females together. Now, this one is big enough to put with my other female, but when I put them together, this...

    Male Or Female?

I purchased a Bearded dragon from Bearded.co. RioReptiles.com, in October, 2010. They sold it to me as a female, but I'm pretty sure it's a male. It's about 8 months old now. I took lots of pictures hoping you guys would be able to see it well enough to tell me for sure. What do you think?

    My new Roach waterer.

Yes, they are netted water crystals. And yes, they seem to be able to get to it okay. If they want they can crawl over the water crystal pillow to the back and drink. There is a tiny pool of water back there.

    My new Roach waterer.

I finally figured out a way to stop the Dubia Roaches from dragging all the water crystals out of their bowls and stashing them in the toilet paper rolls...

    DO NOT BUY FROM REPTILECITY.COM

I wanted to add that when I was buying crickets in increments of 2000 I had a lot die on me too. Then I started throwing roses, (the flowers) in for them. I figured if the bearded dragons could eat them, they crickets could too. They loved them, and for some reason they seemed to live longer...

    Question about breeding and color.

Thanks everyone. But what color would she be called? I went looking for some her color and she matches some of the orange sandfires the most to me. But some of them all look the same and I can't tell the difference. I'm wondering, if I kept this baby and it turned out to be a male, if I breed...

    Question about breeding and color.

They are not from the same clutch, they are two weeks apart. Same parents. I have others with some color in them too, but not as much as her. Here's one.

    Question about breeding and color.

Hi everyone, I hatched some eggs from my Bearded dragons. They are both normals. Is it possible to get a citrus out of a pair of normals? I have one baby from the pair that looks almost the same color as my Citrus Tangerine. Here are some pictures. It's a completely different color than the...

Do Veins appear in Eggs immediately?

I was ready for a few. I just wasn't ready for a colony. But it's done, and they are all being well taken care of. Just because you breed them, doesn't mean you have to hatch them all, if you're only wanting a few babies. So you can't really tell someone that if they aren't ready for a "ton of...

Do Veins appear in Eggs immediately?

103 for 7 hours is pretty high. But, I wouldn't toss them yet because you never know.

Do Veins appear in Eggs immediately?

Hi Jan, From everything I have read, a female only retains sperm for about 3 clutches. After that, they are probably infertile. As long as it's been, if she hasn't been with another male since you got her, then I would say that her eggs are most likely infertile. Sorry. :(

Do Veins appear in Eggs immediately?

Thanks Jan, I'm way over here in California. :) Are you sure your female has been bred? They can lay eggs even without breeding, and of course, those would be infertile. I forgot to answer your question about what temp I kept my eggs at. I kept them between 83 and 85 degrees. Also, when she...

Do Veins appear in Eggs immediately?

I don't recommend telling people this. My female was young, and it was her first time. I was told this same thing, so I set all three of her first clutches thinking I'd be lucky to get a few babies. The first clutch, 18 eggs. 17, out of those 18 hatched. One died during the hatch leaving me...

Do Veins appear in Eggs immediately?

Jan, I just used my cheap old Little Giant chicken egg incubator. I think they sell for around $49.00 You don't need to use anything fancy or expensive. I hatched 17 out of 18 from her first clutch and 20 out of 20 from her second clutch. So it works fine. They need high humidity so make sure...

    Watering Dubia Roaches

Yep, they hoard them. Stuff them in the toilet paper rolls and in the corners where they like to hide. For some reason they love burrowing in it. I can fill the water dish up, and the next day they've packed most of it out.

    My Babies Are Hatching!

Yep, I wasn't expecting the first clutch to hatch, considering everything I was told and read. So I set the second clutch too. And all of them hatched as of today. The last 6 hatched almost two weeks after all the others in the same clutch. So if you have any late hatching eggs, don't give up on...

    Watering Dubia Roaches

Well, then I have to fill up the bowl again. And the more I have to fill the bowl up, the more water crystals I have to buy. Plus, they are wet, and I worry about mold forming in the frass.

    Watering Dubia Roaches

Hi everyone, I have three bins of Dubias going and I have a question about watering. I'm using the polymer water crystals that I get from That Roach Guy and they work well. But, the roaches tend to take them out of the water dish and carry them off. Has anyone come up with a way to keep them...
