Beardies on the whole dislike the smell of their own poop, so, given the choice they hold it until they have been taken out of their tanks. When they get older they poop a little less frequently so its not such a pain because they always "go" in their baths :]

dont worry about him not drinking from his bath anymore. in my experience beardies only do it when they are really thirsty. otherwise they will accept the odd dropper of water with me. my guys get water mixed in with apple/mango juice for their sweet tooths! remember not to hold your face too...
