When should I go from feeding (insects) twice a day to once a day? This is my BD ... He is around 6-7months old, 230g, 15.5 inches and is getting insects twice a day with a salad to graze from.

I have come across this statement on several forums (Mostly Gecko Forums) ... "Superworms have less chitin (exoskeleton) than the common mealworm." ... Is it turn? ... and if so why do we say Impaction is most possible (feared) with Superworms then Mealies? :study: REFERENCE :study...

I understand the basic setup for breeding superworms ... Just need to know when they are seperated individually into smaller containers to pupate, should you put any bedding in with them (oat meal or bran)? ... or Should they be left seperated with nothing at all to pupate?

Do you have to worry about impaction with Silkworms ... I know they do not have the level of Chitin ... is it still something to watch for?

So here is a question ... What can we clean with to kill/prevent all these bugs from getting our little guys Bleach solution? Bleach and Alcohol solution? Nolvasan solution? Nolvasan and Alcohol solution? Ammonia solution? Vinegar solution? Hot steam? I also understand clean feeders...

Can BD get Cryptosporidium or just Geckos? If so is it just as deadly in BDs?

My BD has Giarda and Hookworm ... The vet is 90% sure it came from CRICKETS and I agree as he was fine on Phoneix Worms I got some bulk crickets in ... and now he is sick :evil: My question is do other feeds like supers, phoneix worms and butterworms carry the same risk of passing parasites...

I noticed my BDs Poo has a lot of water coming out with it ... I have read that when they Poo they also will release excess water ... I feed him Dragon Bites (he LOVES them) with his salad and they are 87% moisture ... So my thought is that he is eating to many of these and I need to cut back on...

I don't use them as a staple ... Using crix now with a colony of Dubia on the way to replace the crix ... My question is my little guy LOVES the butterwords ... How many a day is ok for him? Here is a picture to get an idea of his size (12in)

Being new to BDs I knew about BRUMATION but after reading the article posted here I am now freaked out about my BD going to sleep for a few months :shock: I read not all BD do it and if they do they are all different ... So how many of you have had your BD got through BRUMATION?

What Calcium and Vitamins do you folks supplement with? Please list the brand and what you think of it. Thanks!!!!
