Charlie is adorable! If he doesn't like traditional greens (I know my baby isn't a fan) you might try nopales, the leaves of the prickly pear cactus. You can get them in most walmarts and they're very nutritious, not to mention super cheap. Feeders, on the other hand, aren't cheap at all lol...

Sand is a bad idea! Any loose substrate is bad because their's usually a pretty big risk for impaction. Not really sure what to do about the digging, though I did discover recently that Atlas likes to "dig" during bathtime! Maybe you could give that a try?
