dexter loves wax worms haha and hate phenox worms...wants absolutly nothing to do with them so dont make the same mistake as me and go buy $50 worth and then have him not even like them. Phenix worms are expensice too.....you sould try hornworms (i havent seen a dragon yet who doesnt love them)...

superworms are only to be feed to beardies over 16in. Supers from what i have read are better then the giant mealworms and are better for your beardie. People at petstores really dont know much sometimes and can give bad advice. I bet she never asked how big your beardie was. I feed dexter...

you shouldnt see any of the worms in his poop. no shells, no full body pieces..... sometimes ill see a little of the shels when dexter pops in the bath but barly ever. Just make sure you are giving him a big salad to help mix things up a bit. Dexter will only eat like 5 pieces of his salad but...

hi, I just did this acctully, dexter is 11 months old and he is 18In long and i hate....like hate crickets and the reek and uhh im sooo happy its over haha dexter was eating about 30-40 crickets a day + his salad then i slowly started intoducing him to more supers...started on day with 4 then...

ya i read on here about a couple that keep them in there closet and just left them in the regurlar bug tub and they ate through it and got out in the closet and ate though there carpet in the closet and they ended up haveing to rip it all out to get all the 100 worms. and i read other stories...

i wouldnt rough up the side it just makes it more tracktion for the crickets to climb up the sides... i just cut out a piece of the top and went to home hardware and bought a foot of screen then duck taped it on the inside. then just put egg crates a bowl for the water gell and one for food and...

hi, i have never added photos before so hope this works....there is a before and after of dexter cages. We built him a firecross enclosure and he loves it!!!! we had the big clear planter in the firecross so the crickets couldnt wonder anround and get out through the plexi glass...worked...

so after alot of thinking im putting dexter on superworms as his main staple due to they dont smell, low maintance and just plain easy haha butttttt ..... i have read on here that the superworms can eat through the plastic bug tub container they come in...so i have them sitting in a rubermaid...

im sure EVERYONE has this problum.... BD poo's smell soooo bad. I just cleaned out dexters cage lastnight...smelt so clean then this morning he takes a big dunp and it smells soo bad even after i clean it up..my room is pretty small so them my room smells and it just ne ver fully goes away...

ya i feed him butters and wax worms on occasion and whenever i can make it into calgary i ushally pick up some horn worms too.... but they get expensive. and i hate crickets and never ever could i have roaches EWWW sorry but i just could never do it and i live in canada and they are hard to come...
