My dragon is 11 months , 18" and is eating about 30-40 large crix a day. I was wondering how many supers would be sufficent? I know it will soon be time to cut back the bugs but I just got a baby savannah monitor so we'll have them around in bulk for a while yet. Also what is the best way to seperate them from the bran? Anyhow thanks in advance for the replies.

Sorry no one's helped yet. I know for adults you only want 35-40 supers a week versus 50-60 crix. I'm not so sure about an 11 m/o. I guess feed him about 2/3 as many supers as you currently feed crix. In other words, if you were giving your beardie 30 crix a day, only 20 supers. I'm not positive about that, but it's my best guess. I try giving both my dragon and my boyfriend's supers as a treat, but neither will have anything to do with them.

hi,
I just did this acctully, dexter is 11 months old and he is 18In long and i hate....like hate crickets and the reek and uhh im sooo happy its over haha dexter was eating about 30-40 crickets a day + his salad then i slowly started intoducing him to more supers...started on day with 4 then the next with 6 then he sould poop by then just make sure he is digesting them proprely if so then you are good to go. dexter eats about 20ish supers a day...he loves them!!! on occasion i give him a treat like hornoworms or wax worms or butter but he is mainly on supers all the time. thing are good and he is health and happy. and no more cleaning out stinky cricket bins and dealing with them getting out and all the fun stuff they bring. Im just getting my first 1000 order (been buying 100 at a time and its getting pricy so i got 1000 for $32 bucks) and that should last a while. then just take a smaller rubbermade container like a 12X12 fill the bottom with crushed oats and wheat bran mix and chuck them in.....put pices of apple in there for hydration and you are good to go! very lowww maintance if you ask me. hope this helped

you shouldnt see any of the worms in his poop. no shells, no full body pieces..... sometimes ill see a little of the shels when dexter pops in the bath but barly ever. Just make sure you are giving him a big salad to help mix things up a bit. Dexter will only eat like 5 pieces of his salad but atleast he is eatimg some. Hope this helped.

ok, that's what I assumed. helped a load thanks again. Pyro eats anywhere from half to 3/4 of his salad, (med-small size feeding dish and demands that I hand feed him a bit of his squash so he gets close to the "green content" he needs.

I have Elliott on them and he loves them! I was doing dubias, but he demolished them so fast that I needed to let the colony regrow. He is about 17.5 inches and 7 months old. With the supers he is eating about 20 a day(10 2x a day). I noticed that you said you already got him some to let him try them before ordering and that was a great move! Like ducky said, just look for undigested bits and if you dont see any, then you should be good to go. Just make sure to dust!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
