I'm trying really hard to develop a healthy, loving relationship between my beardie and me. Today she graduated to slightly larger crickets and I made her a pretty epic salad (some lettuce, shredded carrots, dandelion greens, a few tiny chunks of bell pepper, annddd a little dandelion flower on top). So I decided to get a bunch of wax worms (10 for $1) to bribe her into loving me more.
I'm not sure if she was too full from the crickets or what... but she seemed kind of frightened by the worm I put inside. I waited a little bit and after five minutes, it seemed to catch her interest and she spent some time eyeing it suspiciously. Finally she attacked it and tried to bite it but then kind of shook her face and let the worm free. She crawled away and stayed away from it!
question 1: Why did this happen and should I continute feeding her the worms?
If she does grow to like them, how do you take care of them?:
question 2: I got mine in a small, plastic salsa container; should I relocate?
question 3: Do they eat anything?
question 4: I know I have to feed her the worms sparingly, but what does 'sparingly' mean? Once a day? Every other day? Once a week???
Thank you very much!
