there is a number of insect feeders you can use
crickets
locusts
waxworm
mealworm
fruit beetle grubs
roaches
silk worms
calci worms
some of these are qiute big so i would only feed them to large dragons.

i have seen males flick there tail when they are in mating mode lol it could be that you got him a little bit to excited and he turned on the charm and started to display to you hand :D
