I've tried making traps but when I put them in the roach bin, the roaches got into the traps. I put the traps around the house and got a lot of fruit flies.
I think it is fruit flys and their larvae. It is pretty moist in there because I put way too much water gel in it but I am working on drying it out.
Also, would it be safe to feed the roaches to my bearded dragons or would the fruit flys make the dragons sick?
I have a huge fruit fly problem in my dubia colony. What are some ways I can get rid of them? I have them isolated to just the dubia bin. I tried putting traps in the bin but the roaches got into them. I have also started trying to clean it every day. There are also a lot of maggots in it...
Whatever you do, don't give up and get another beardie because the second you bring home a new beardie, your lost one will turn up. Try looking in warm, dark places because that is where they usually like to hide. Good luck.
You can put slate tile or a rock in his tank to file down the nails a bit or you can clip them. Here is a good guide for nail clipping. http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nail.html
If you get multiple beardies, I recommend starting a dubia roach colony. Just get it going then get your next beardie so you will have food for it. I have two bearded dragons and the work is pretty much double.
Hello. I saw on my citie's Facebook page that they were cleaning The water supply. Here is what they said.
Would it be safe to give my beardies baths while they are doing this? Should I treat the water before they get baths? Thank you.
Hello. You may have seen those pictures of dogs with signs around their necks saying what they did wrong. I thought to make one with Dave. You all can also post your beardie shaming pictures and maybe the little troublemakers will learn what happens when they decide to get into trouble.
Hello. I have this pellet diet that my beardies seem to prefer over salad. I am curious if I can replace the collard greens with the pellets. My plan would be to always have the dry pellets in their tank. I already do that, but they just wouldn't get greens. I would still feed dubias...
Like in destiny1998's story, they found their dragon after 6 weeks. He is probably okay. Whatever you do, do not get another dragon. I would wait a few months to do that. If you get a new dragon and find the one you lost, you would have to get another everything which can add up to be a lot of...
I have heard of dragons surviving a lot of things so he might be okay. When he turns up, give him a warm bath and put him in his tank. I would recommend getting a harness or an outdoor enclosure. Good luck.
