Looking for suggestions on how to file my beardies nails

HI, I could use some suggestions on how to help file my beardies nails. He's in a 20 gallon terrarium and about 5 months old. Ive heard of using a brick, a rock, slate or tile? what find of tile?? Ido i need to sanitize those types of items before putting them in his enclosure?? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

Hi. I use ceramic tile I bought at home Depot for 6$ a box and I just washed them with some dragon body wash and let them air dry before I put them in. Slate is also good but it was way more pricy. Also make sure you you take measurements as you usually need to have them cut to fit the tank.
