I wouldn't worry about the pores, they aren't clogged. Those are just femoral pores which in females
are greatly reduced in size as compared to the males.
If you can get a picture of her hands so we can see any swelling, that would be good. I don't think that
B vitamin deficiency would cause swelling but it wouldn't surprise me if she had a few deficiencies just
due to the stress she has been under for awhile. Thiamin deficiences can cause symptoms that are
similiar to metabolic bone disease in the fact that there are tremors, twitching, etc.
Keep her
hydrated as much as you can. You can continue with the black/tart cherry juice too if she
doesn't mind it too much.
Shedding can cause the area to appear swollen, yes. Has her beard been dark or normal color?
It wouldn't hurt to give a B complex supplement for awhile. It is water soluble so it shouldn't become
toxic in her system.
