Hello,
These particular anti-inflammatory medications usually aren't used for gout cases. Sometimes
they will prescribe Metacam for septic arthritis caused from uric acid crystals or simply from
metabolic bone disease symptoms.
A really good anti-inflammatory medication often used in combination with Allopurinol for gout
is Colchicine. The problem with these classes of medications is that they can't be given for long
periods of time & can also cause adverse symptoms such as diarrhea & dehydration.
