How old is your female?
Have you changed anything around in her tank, or in the room that might be stressing her out any?
Will she let you pick her up without biting you, etc?
It just sounds like she is trying to intimidate you for some reason. Sometimes, youngsters who hit puberty will go through hormonal changes like that & develop attitudes.
Has she changed her eating habits?
