I'm a new beardie owner with a 2 month old baby beardie and I've heard about brumation but I know nothing of it. Can someone please explain it to me like what it is exactly and about what age it happens?

Brumation is similar to when mammals hibernate for the winter. Metabolism slows down, the dragon will stop basking and eating (mostly) and will sleep for a few weeks/couple of months.
Some dragons only partialy brumate, they stay awake and bask for a couple hours then go to bed early, they generally don't eat during this time. Not all dragon brumate.

Normally it doesn't start until a dragon is a adult or older juvie. Your baby won't brumate, he is too young this season. Watch for it next winter.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
