Yes, if you can post a pic that would be great. I am fairly new... but my 2 started doing the mouth open thing and it was only when they are basking or showing aggression.

Yes, mine does all the time when he is basking. Its their way of regulating temperature

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
