Tales of Thresh and Fizz *Update*

Hi everyone!

So Deb was amazing today and came over and helped me pick out the new baby for the family. Except he isn't so much of a baby. And he may also may not be a he. :lol: He's from the same clutch as Baron was from, so his birthday is March 10th! And holy moly what a healthy juvie.

Even though he is a bit small at 12 inches, he can eat. Let me tell you, he can eat. Deb got pictures of him eating when I first gave him food 5 minutes after him being in the tank. 2 bowls of roaches later and a bowl and a half of baby bok choi and he seemed content. SO. PICTURES. I only got 3 before my camera died.

The last two are kind of crappy...But the camera was making angry red flashes at me and I was trying to get some.

I think you should keep the name! If you were planning on changing it that is. (Gotta catch up.)

Yup! Little Thresh is female! That's okay by me though. I don't mind the name for a girl, but I did let the person that generously gave me 100 dollars for her and named Thresh, so if she wants Thresh renamed it will be done. Again, least I can do.

And I saw it! I love it. How Titan is right smack in the middle pretty much. I need to take a few good pics of Arya and change mine, since I have better pictures of the cats now, too. Maybe tomorrow.

Thresh left 4 roaches over from today! And only had 2 horns! No greens. Grrr But I did hang my red tank top above her cage and I'm home tomorrow so I can watch her close. I didn't get any strawberries, I forgot. But I'll get some tomorrow morning.

She'll get into eating greens again, you'll see. She needs her bugs more than her greens right now, she needs to gain weight, so don't be too hard on her, she did so well the first day she came home to you!

Thresh is absolutely beautiful!!! So sorry to hear about the circumstances that led you to her, but hopefully she will be easier on you! Although we all know how they like to make us worry!

I got Thanos some hornworms last week and they grew so fast! They are a couple inches and she is still wolfing them down like a champ.

Hi Cheryl! Thank you for stopping by. It is unfortunate to how I ended up with Thresh, but it gets easier to deal with each day, especially since I have the beautiful girl around to help me be happy. And I told Thresh you said she's beautiful-she gets that a lot! She's pretty proud of it.

I'm not tooo hard on her, but it would be nice to see her eat greens again. Oh well. I'm just happy she eats on her own and she eats well. And that she's a big cuddle bug when she isn't wanting to fly. :lol:

"Mom, where have you been, I've been stuck in here with a pile of poopz, pls clean this up!" Boy that is a "where have you been" look if I've ever seen one :lol:

She just has the most beautiful colouring and I'm glad she's eating out of dishes! Makes like a lot easier.

Your camera takes the best pictures, especially close up, like Liz's pictures. Not like mine, they're ok, but not as clear as yours. Guess one day I'll have to get another camera...but not at this time.

I'll have to show my boys Thresh's pictures, just to see their reactions :mrgreen:

I imagine lots of head bobbing and black bearding. I don't think she could care about another Dragon right now though, she's busy being awed over.
And I totally think it was a 'where is she?!' thing. It was the first day I wasn't home all day since Saturday, so she is very used to me being around and popping in every few hours to check up on her.

I do have to show her the roaches are in the bowl, but once she realizes they're there she goes for them. I'm going to try keeping them a bit closer to the basking spot so she can hopefully see them when she's up there and eat whenever she wants, or she seems to forget about them. :lol:

And I'm so glad I invested in the good camera. Before it was my phone or a crappy point and shoot I won at grad in 2010. I hated taking pictures of me, and would never get any of Brandon either, or the pets really. So that's changing!

I told one of the regular customers about Cho and Thresh. She asks about my dragon every time she comes in. Loves hearing about them. She was sad to hear about Cho, but totally agreed when I told her it was okay because I knew he was better with me then someone who didn't know, or in PetSmart. She totally agreed, even though I don't see her often she said it's clear I'm confident in what I do and that I'm good at it. It's nice to hear that from someone who doesn't know much about Dragon's at all. And then I showed her a pic of Thresh and she 'ooohhh'd' at it for a few minutes.

So that what that look was all about, where's my mommy!

And isn't that great that the lady who doesn't know about dragons is so confident in your ability to take care of them, but we know you do have confidence, so that really helps giving the loving care you've always given.

Yes, I would imagine there would be a lot of bearding and bobbing, especially from Didi, but I'll show them anyway. I enjoyed the night I had Rubio on my lap, he sat there checking out everything I was doing for over 15 min, so I'll try that again when I'm home for the day.

I think Didi would beard at his shadow if he noticed it more. :lol: I know Liz's Zy was arm waving when she showed her pictures of Cho. :lol: I'll wait until Thresh is awake tomorrow(she's sleeping on my shoulder, passed out like a rock) and show her pictures of all the dragons I follow on here! See what her reaction is.

I measured her, and she's a solid 13 inches. I think she was a little under on Saturday. Will measure her weekly until she's 7 months and then monthly after that.

And it is great knowing someone who doesn't know much about dragons thinks that! Especially with all the doubt I've been having over the past week.

I work in a nursing home and have told everyone about Thanos. Now I have a few residents who need daily lizard updates. I've even brought her in. She's quite the celebrity.

Her bars are gorgeous. Thanos has some purpley bars when she is really light, and I'm hoping they come out more as she gets bigger. I think they are close to the same age, I got Thanos 5/12, and I am thinking she was 6-8 wks then.

No need to doubt yourself, you've been doing everything right since you got Baron, so you'll do fine with Thresh, too. Honest!

Baron had Lavender as well, and I think his entire Clutch did, since both Thresh and the other clutch mate had lavender too.
I work in a small family owned pet store, so the regular customers know about my pets if they've asked before. And my manager always asks about the dragon. She was really upset and offered for me to go home when I told her about Cho. I didn't, by that time it had been a few days and I was feeling a lot better, and she was really excited to know I was going to get Thresh.

Thanks Deb. I work really hard to provide proper care with all the pets. Arya even gets cucumber every night now since it's her favorite. She'll eat a small handful of it before she even touchs her kibble.
