Happy Halloween, Everybody! This is Phoenix's homemade Halloween dragon costume. I used black dragon-scale felt and pipe cleaners, mostly, and it's being held together by Velcro. Unfortunately the only camera I have at the moment is my web cam, so I couldn't get a picture or video of her...

My beardie, Phoenix does this every time she sheds. It just takes a while for the tail to shed itself since they're not moving it around much. This last time, there was about 4 weeks in between body-shedding and tail-shedding. The fact that the tail is gray is good, it means that the scales...

I know they're kind of big, but if you use the clear plastic storage totes (mine's almost the size of my tub...and that's what I use it for. Phoenix can't get out), it might work. It's not heavy, but it might be a little awkward.

Okeeday...so I was reading one of the threads, and I read that some of the people on here have facebook pages for their BEARDIES. I was like "Why did I never think of this before?!?" Obviously, I had to immediately make one for Phoenix. It's under Phoenix Beardie. And then I was looking...

I've noticed that my beardie gets especially moody when she's shedding her back and tummy. I think it irritates her more, or something.

Totally!! They're uber cute, and I can do all sorts of different stitches on the edge. The one I did for Phoenix was brown and pink, but I can do different colors, too!

Thanks! I think once I get the lead on, it might be easier to keep her in it, since it'll be closed. I also think I may have made it a little long, but that's an easy enough fix.

Okay, so either I measured wrong the first time (Phoenix was a little squirmy this morning) or she grew another inch in less than a day. Either way, she's 12 inches now! Woohoo! Haha...

Okay, so how in the world do some of you guys get your beardie to get into their leashes. More specifically, I'm talking about the ones that wrap around the body with some slits for the legs, not the string ones. I decided to make one for Phoenix out of felt that I embroidered around the edge...

We've had Phoenix since early October, and I'm proud to say that she's grown 3 whole inches! I just measured her this morning and she is 11 inches long now! She's over 7 months old, so she's a little bit of a runt, but we're hoping that by uptaking her cricket and superworm intake, she'll get...

I had the exact same problem when we first got Phoenix, and I live with her! Make sure your boyfriend doesn't pressure you into holding him, because that was one of my biggest problems. My boyfriend would call me a baby, etc... I waited until my boyfriend was off at work, and it was just me...
