thats awesome. did you have more trouble with them getting used to you. like i know you said more time but did it seem to verry if they wanted to be held or not? also a quick question. my dragon likes to be held but sometimes likes to jump off me and onto either my bed, the computer desk, etc. and go explore and chill. is this normal and ok. i get a little scared that he will just take off or hurt himself. comments please. but yea that its the best thing ever. you got real lucky with those dragons of yours. idk if i could have done it.

Actually they have been held sense about a day old it was easier to hand feed them that way. I've chose to hand fed, as that way they are not haveing the arguement and stress over who is going to get it. They do eat their veggies on their own and could eat their live feeders too.

They have always liked to be held and go for rides with me to run my errands. They are always calm and content when I hold them. This is what is so time consumeing is the interveening to keep them calm and happy.
I would not have been able to give them what they needed if I wasn't a stay at home mom and wife.

Yes, it is normal for your beardie to want to explore. You just need to beardie proof a room or area so that you can allow your beardie to do so without getting hurt.

I block off the doorway to the livingroom and let them hang out while I'm in there on the computer.
Of course I had to block off the area behind the TV and under the computer where the wires are.

nice to know. oh ya one more question. how high can they jump so i know if i should proof something high.
I'm not sure how high a beardie can jump. I usually block the doorway with a peice of plywood about 3ft tall. If it's any shorter Checker's will climb it.

Zak-n-Wheezie are easy to beardie proof for as they don't climb as well. :(

Just thought I'd share a few more pic's.

Wheezie wants to take a nap and Zak would rather watch TV.

Hi Barbara!

Again, wonderful photographs! The one with the remote wins! Sweet dreams Wheezie! :laughhard:

My remote story - When my son was two, we were at his grandparents's neighbors, New Year's Day, the guys in the living room watching football, and the women all in the kitchen, talking. Bellowing erupts from the living room, something terribly wrong, as my little boy toddles into the kitchen, busy pushing buttons on this little black object. The kitchen erupts with laughter, and the remote was eventually returned to the living room. My son got a real taste of power, to be the one in control of something everyone else wants, before it was all done!

:love5: to all!

Hi Barbara,

Glad you liked the story! My little boy is mid-twenties now, but that story hasn't aged a day! :laughing6: I also saw you posted on the sculptor's link, [ Invalid URL Removed / p= t=85404 f=2 ] and wanted to know if we can look forward to sculptures of Wheezie and Zak in the near future? I thought his work does a wonderful job of catching the spirit of his subject, and look forward to hearing more about this possible project! This is the only way most of us will be able to have our own Z-n-W, one we could treasure for our own! :love5:

I would just love to have one of those an I know alot of members would too. I thought of you when I came acrossed the thread. I'll have to try and work it into the budget. We are trying to move our daughter and 4 of our grandchildren out from Florida right now, so we're alittle strapped at the moment. It may be just alittle while before we can swing it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
