Thank-you Deborah!
Yes I was furious at this man. I think that if I would not have been holding Z&W I might have gone to jail.

An unfortunately he does have a beardie. He also thought that we were crazy for carrying them around like we do, not just Z&W but any lizard as he put it. We feel sorry for his beardie I guess that's why Frank was attemping to educate him. Myself I didn't see that it would be of any help, sense they are just freakin' lizards. :angry5: I figured that he wouldn't listen to a stup!d person anyway.

Needless to say he didn't make any friends at this pet store as they are very partial to Z&W there.
An everyone in the reptile department loves them an all reptiles. One of the good pet stores!

Barbara, you had the right to be furious with that man. It is not "just a lizard". I think I might have decked him. Zak-n-Wheezie are very special to you and many of us here. Zak-n-Wheezie would not be here if it weren't for you.

Hi Barbara,

The man in the pet store, well, as my mom would have said, "consider the source." When you realize how pathetic he must be to say something so stupid and selfish, you have to feel sorry that he is incapable of understanding the relationships that we have with our beardies. He doesn't understand the meaning of "priceless," and what it means when we refuse to let money rule our hearts. I hope he learns what it is to truly love. I feel sorry for his beardie, and hope the D. A. learned something from Frank.

As always, our love to you and yours! :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5:

Wow! That is awesome! I have never seen your buddies before. How wonderful. Did you hatch them? Talk about housing two beardies together, LOL.

No-one has really asked any questions lately so I have some of my own mind bogleing questions.
Here's a few;

First I notice that Z&W warm up quicker than a normal beardie.
Do you think that it maybe because they have more heat censors having 2 heads?
Having 2 perinial eyes how might this affect them?

Notice in all of the pic's their tail is never straight it's always curved to one side or
the other. Never upward like a normal beardie.
Why might you think this is? Could the tail be curving into or away from
the head that has most control at that specific moment?

Okay when I touch them who feels it and when/or where?
For instance if I touch Zak's side does only Zak feel it, or vise a versa?
If I stroke them down the middle of their back do they both feel it?
If one eats something is there anyway that they could both taste it?

Those are just a couple of the things that I wonder about daily.

Now for a couple of more pic's!

Rock hugging!

Here they are taking turns regulateing body temperature

EDIT:
wizbee yes we hatched them. There is some earlier information about them in this very long thread that was started before I became a member. I included an xray and other information that may not be covered in this thread.

Maybe they dont have controll over the tail, or maybe they both do or maybe its just not strong cuz they have to fucus energy someplace else, also you should wait till they are not focused and do a quick poke on the right side, and see who responds!

Sometimes we get a sad reminder that life is filled with ******. Thankfully the great people far outnumber him. If you see him again send him my way I don't mind ummm "forcibly correcting" him.

callmebeardy good thoughs but I don't think so here's my reply to your thoughts;

Okay the tail is very strong maybe more so than a normal beardie.
They swim mainly useing their tail and they can really move in the water.
Also when they ride on my shoulder they often hold on with their tail to my arm
kinda like a monkey.

Your suggestion on trying to figure out who feels what is what I've been trying for months.
I think that I need someone else to perform the experiment. This is why, it is
impossible for me to be in the same room with them to perform that experiment because they never take their eyes off of me if I'm around. They see my every move!

I mentioned that this was mind-bogleing, right? :laughing6: :laughing6:

Thanks for the offer that's what my oldest son basically said.
But his life must be sad enough without anyone even reacting to his !@#*?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
