OMG now sure where to start. Doc just called, she was under for a loooonnnnggg time, he was shocked when he opened her up.
First, the eggs from this round were still high up. Follicles on the oviducts. Not calcifying. The low spots we thought were eggs on the Xrays / Ultrasounds were actually older partially calcified & non-resorbed eggs.
She has GI tract damage & scarring, we're surmising from the abuse she endured at her previous owner's. On top of that, they fed her pinkies sometimes. He said it looked like an old perforation of the GI tract, and seh's built up a lot of scar tissue.
She had a mass attached to her GI tract, which was about TWO INCHES across. He removed that, and biopsied on the spot -- it had multiple layers like an onion, but he described it as "it looked like an old piece of charcoal"
She has a fatty liver.
He wanted to give us something for an update, but because she was under for so long, they are bringing her up slowly from the anesthesia. She is still on oxygen in the incubator. So I am antsy waiting for another call now... gawd, my head is about to split into 25 pieces.
He is concerned that she may have a hard time getting her GI tract going properly again. That statement has me petrified. So I've already got Critical Care & Carnivore Care on hand (he wanted us to do a 75/25 mix up to this point). Please bump up the prayers everyone, I love her so much.
