Hi

Any idea on what i could use for wooden viv background?

Im looking for something nice to brighten tank up a bit but all the pictures you can buy are for glass vivs.

Could you put a canvas picture in the background?

I think a canvas pic is a great idea! You may be able to 'seal' it to the back by soaking it on with non-toxic glue. The DIY section also has lots of great foam and grout backgrounds. They can be painted any color you like. Good luck

Hey! :)

I had this same problem, especially as my viv was custom made 5ft by 3ft, no pictures were big enough or would go in without repeating themselves.. in the end I went on google, found the highest definition photo I could get that suited.. and shot off down the nearest printers to get it printed to size, laminated and uv protected.. I have to say it was well worth the fuss, as my dining room now has its own corner of desert! Heres a pic to show you :)

well the printers I got it from actually make sticker banners so basically its a huuuge 9ft by 3ft sticker haha, but as I didnt want to chance sticking it on and having to ever take it off which would ruin it, I left the backing on and just pinned it onto the wood :)

Your tank is exactly as im looking for but unfortunatly i live quite a distance from city to get prints uv protected i have however found some canvas online that would do the job but do any of you know if canvas paint would be safe in the enclosure?

I would however love to follow your tank idea as its exactly what i want just dont have the everything available to me where i stay :(

The only thing I would say about having a canvas background, is that if you mist your viv you may find yourself in a damp situation.. Obviously it would take longer to dry and in cooler parts of the tank it may not at all, causing the humidity to increase and of course this can lead to problems for your beardy :(

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
