Hi everyone,
I am in the process of upgrading my beardie's enclosure (all of it: tank, lighting, heating, substrate etc.) Her existing tank is a smaller glass one; the one I just got is 4 x 2 x 2 PVC with black sides, a mesh top, sliding clear doors in the front (Dubia.com). Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere already but I am a little confused as to what are acceptable and safe backgrounds to use for something like this. I am not interested in constructing a background out of foam spray etc., nor did I really want to go get a pre-molded rock-ledge background thing. I guess I was hoping to find a relatively simple option for a background, if it exists.

1/ Is it ok to mount a custom vinyl banner on the inside of a cage? If so, what adhesives are acceptable for affixing something like this, and/or would it be acceptable to install it and then use some sort of sealant to protect it like mod podge? Originally this was my plan for the background, printing a custom banner of foliage at walgreens. However I now am not so sure something like this can be safely installed inside the cage, or I just can't find any examples of other people doing it this way.

2/ what are other options for backgrounds for a PVC enclosure? all I can think of is buying a bunch of cork tile pieces to install on the back and side panels.
Thanks in advance

Let's have Cooper dragon help you- I have solid back and sides that are bamboo so I don't use any back grounds

I haven't used PVC enclosures myself, but I'd imagine that most options would be safe. My background is a printed photo, but it sits on the outside of glass. If you could print a photo onto a vinyl banner or something along those lines, you could attach it to the PVC and use that as the background if you're looking for something photorealistic. Otherwise you could try building a foam and mod podge ledge or textured wall. There are a lot of examples of these in the DIY and this enclosures section.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
