a reputable breeder will pack them so they will not be crushed. find a breeder you like than ask the questions regarding their packing and shipping method.
Poor Birdie was carried up the walk with the side end up when it was very clearly marked this end up...sheesh but again she was packed so well she came out all colored nicely and eating immediately. she was very well cushioned. now looking at their weird sleeping positions i realize a little sideways did her no harm at all....even tho it shouldnt have been carried that way
