Why do bearded dragons open their mouths

Bearded Dragons open their mouths for many reasons. A few of the reasons could be: They open their mouths and lift their heads to regulate their body temperature, because they feel threatened or because they are in distress.

a dark beard and open mouth to me would say that the lil guy is stressed or scared. But Im still learning. :study:
