Where'd you get your beardies name?

Haha yeah I'm 22, I'd love to watch it now too bad I'm at work ugh and I don't have it at my apartment (of course my parents bought it for me as soon as it came out, but it's for the family and anything i shared with my sisters stayed at the house when i left).

I'm not sure he remembers his name is oliver anymore, though, because I always call him by his nicknames, "stinkerpus" or "bubbah" (u doesn't sound like in bubba-gump shrimp but more like in 'book')

haha i still live with my parents for now, and we have a huge book case full of the old movies. I was obsessed with all dogs go to heaven too. haha.
Occasionally when i have a sick day I'll bust out the old movies. You know, i think I should have named my male beardie Bubba Gump. haha. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and he just looks like a bubba. But he is so easy going so Dave fits him. haha.

I wish my parents would let me keep reptiles in their house. My mom thinks my Beardie's disgusting! (Wouldn't know true beauty if it licked her in the face). And she thinks my rabbit is dirty too.

Oliver is probably still my fav movie. I do the same thing! watching old kid's movies on sick days. They just don't make 'em like they used to

Heck no, they don't! Although Finding Nemo, Wally, and a few other random movies have been really good!

But man, there is nothing like Lion King, etc.

My mom won't let me keep my snakes here, she hates snakes. So all 3 of them are at my boyfriends. My parents never let me own a reptile, I just kinda brought one home 2 years ago and they didn't say much. Then I got another in July and in August I went out of town. Well, my mom said she would take care of them, and now she really loves them. She says they are "wild" looking and that they are really interesting. She said she enjoyed giving them their baths and making their salads. My mom is cute when she starts talking about them. Then I got one about 2 weeks ago and she wants to name her Kirby. haha.

I love my mom. My dad is not so fond of them. he thinks they are a waste of money. But he kinda thinks that of all our animals.

Bah humbug.

Well when we first got my baby boy beardie (4 months ago) , my mom wanted to call him henry. but i didnt like that name. so i have been calling him "beardie" and i found a name.... tonight!
i was talking to my beardie (which sound weird but i found a name!) and i was asking him what names he liked. ( :wink: ) and i had a collage on my wall from school. i was looking at it and i had a pic of an albertosaurus on it. (i'm OBSESSED with dinosaurs) i was thinking of dino's like albertosaurus, and i thought of allosaurus; witch means "other lizard".
i was thinking of a "shortcut" for allosaurus, and then i said: "Al. AL!!!" i love the name Al. im brilliant. :mrgreen: although it did take me 4 months to think of a name. :mrgreen:

Anyway, Loki earned his name after about a week of living with me. He was constantly into everything, licking things he probably shouldn't be licking, trying to eat my fingers along with his strawberries (on accident. didn't even hurt, really), climbing around in his cage and managing to lick the fluorescent tube that's in there for extra lights, hanging like spiderman in the corner by the door, among other adorable exploits. So, being the mythology nerd that I am, I decided that the Norse god of mischief would be a perfect namesake.

I was pondering naming my bd a lot of things but finally ended with Ra. Ra is the Egyptian sun god. Its a hefty name to have, but he deffenitely acts the part.

My older kids came to me pre-named, unfortunatly... Gibby's full name is Giblet. I have no freakin idea why, and he was named by the person who had him before the person I got him from, so I never get to know why, but he knows his name and there's no changing it. Dora was named by a little girl who apparently loves Dora the Explorer... I end up calling her Dorito a lot though, it just seems to fit and the noise is similiar enough that she knows I'm talking to her.
Miss Priss kind of fell into her name... She came to us named Tayne, but we loathed that (We kept hearing "taint") and she was so feral she definatly didn't know it. So while we looked for another name I ended up calling her Miss Priss because she seems to enjoy being difficult... and it stuck.

Our first dragon "Jason" was a gift for my son who was 9 at the time and his best friend's name was Jason...Our second dragon "Jaws" was named after..well Jaws the shark. When we got her she was always puffing her beard and biting at everything...We also had a water dragon named "Spaz" - cause he was just a spaz. We are getting a new girl whos name is "Sophie" so we will wait till she gets here then see if we need to change her name..
